The midterm work of this Summer’s transdisciplinary studies studio on human rights awareness is featured on Design 21, a social design network in partnership with UNESCO and Fellisimo.
These human rights posters have been critiqued by Design 21 advisory board member Jacques Lange who is a design consultant to the Nelson Mandela Foundation, Centre for Human Rights, Centre for the Study of AIDS, and the UNDP. Jacques has provided important feedback and guidance for the students as they continue work toward their final poster designs.
This studio is the result of an on-going partnership between Designmatters and the United Nations Department of Public Information, in support of their annual UN DPI/NGO conference which is attended by NGOs from all around the world. This year’s theme: “Reaffirming Human Rights for All: The Universal Declaration at 60″ is a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Declaration.
The conference will be held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris and we are excited that some of these designs will be chosen to be on exhibit there.
